Snowflake: Continuous Data Protection
Snowflake provides a comprehensive set of features that protect data from malicious actions and human error in a Snowflake environment. These features include data encryption at rest and in transit, authentication and authorization controls, multi-factor authentication, and network-level policies to control access. Snowflake also provides some novel features that help protect and recover data in the event of human error. For example, Time Travel and the undrop feature allow data recovery after it has been inadvertently modified. In this course, you’ll learn about the components of continuous data protection in Snowflake, the concepts of time travel and fail-safe storage in Snowflake and the steps for traveling to a point in time, and the steps for traveling to an offset from the current time and for retrieving data as it existed before a DML query. you’ll also learn about the steps to undrop a dropped table in Snowflake and how Snowflake charges for data stored for time travel and fail-safe storage purposes.
