By the end of this course, learners will be able to: Identify the correct sequence of lockout/tagout (LOTO) steps from preparation through restart. Recognize the purpose of each LOTO step and the risks addressed by it. Select appropriate actions for controlling hazardous energy during shutdown, isolation, and lockout/tagout. Verify and manage stored energy before beginning maintenance or servicing. Confirm isolation and zero-energy conditions before work begins. Apply safe restart practices, including communication, area clearance, and proper device removal.
