Jakarta Servlets: Welcome Files Error Files Forms and File Uploads

Fully fledged web applications need to be able to handle form submissions, file uploads, and display various welcome and error pages to users. Over the years, servlet apps have developed well-defined mechanisms for accomplishing these tasks. In this course, learn how to configure welcome files and set the default page for web applications. Then you will move to error pages and learn how to specify custom error pages for specific HTTP error codes as well as for specific Java exceptions. You will then create an HTML form and learn to handle both POST and GET requests from form submissions, as well as their relative strengths and weaknesses. Finally, you will implement file upload functionality for different file types and specify constraints on file sizes and file types.
