Snowflake: Performance Management

Snowflake includes several optimization features, such as the metadata cache, the query result cache, the virtual warehouse cache, and partition pruning, that Snowflake automatically uses to optimize performance. Snowflake also provides additional performance capabilities that can be manually configured to improve performance. These capabilities include scaling up and down a virtual warehouse or autoscaling a virtual warehouse to accommodate increased concurrency. In this course, you’ll learn about Snowflakes performance considerations. you’ll also learn about the scaling up and scaling down capabilities of Snowflake and the purpose of scaling out. you’ll explore the concepts of caching and data clustering in Snowflake and discover the purpose of materialized views in Snowflake.
