Leadercamp on-demand: The Generationally Flexible Leader

placeholder

This is an On-Demand Leadercamp presented by Merri Lemmex (MBA-PM, PMP, Technical Training Program Developer). How do you manage workers from different generations all at the same time? Is there a solution? The answer is, yes and no. To be a generationally flexible leader, you’ll need to first develop an understanding of the different characteristics of each generation, and then adapt your management techniques accordingly. You need to understand the generations—namely, how and why they are the way they are—and create effective motivating plans for employees from each of the different generations. As a manager, it’s important to understand not only what motivates employees, but also what de-motivates them. Workers of different generations often approach work differently, and it’s important for managers to understand what events and experiences have driven and shaped each generation. In addition, it’s common to see differences in modes of communication across the generations. Having a strong understanding of these different styles of communication is extremely important for managers. Merris The Generationally Flexible Leader Leadercamp will equip leaders to truly build collaborative, cohesive, and effective multi-generational teams.
