The construction business is one of the largest industries in Florida, employing hundreds of thousands of workers who construct residences, businesses, and highways to support the state”s tourism industry and growing population. This 4-hour online course is the second of two courses based on Title XXXII, Chapter 489 of the Florida 2006 Statutes, Regulation of Professions and Occupations: Contracting. The purpose of Chapter 489 is to regulate the construction industry for the health, safety, and well-being of the community, and help prevent public financial losses due to unlicensed contracting.
