Phasors and AC Circuit Analysis
By the end of this course you will be able to: Compute the impedance of resistors capacitors and inductors at a given frequency (60 Hz) Compute the current flowing in a model of an electric power distribution system feeder given the source and load voltages (represented as phasors); compute the power absorbed by the load Identify wye and delta connections of three phase loads; list advantages and disadvantages for the various possible connections Describe the relationship between line and phase currents/voltages for wye and delta connected loads Express voltages and currents in a power distribution system operating (through transformers) at different voltage levels on a per-unit basis
