Creating Opening & Saving Documents
Explore the basics of creating, saving, and opening documents in Word for Office 365, in this 16-video course. Word automatically opens to a blank document as its start page, and you will learn how to choose what document you wish to create or open. You will then explore how to use Word’s pre-formatted templates to create documents such as reports, letters, and resumes. You will also observe several ways and places to save your document, including on your computer and on OneDrive. Continue by learning how to save a document as a PDF, a document type compatible with many platforms. You will learn how to organize a document’s margins, orientation, choose the paper size, preview, and print a document. Learners will then observe how Word provides statistics for a document, including word count, and the number of lines or paragraphs in a document. Learn how to protect documents, and restrict editing. Finally, you will learn how to manage a document’s version history, and how to recover unsaved documents.
