Community Environment
At My SkillSource, students don't just learn from tutorials or
textbooks. They also learn from real instructors and each other.
In online classrooms, students can post questions for instructors
and discuss issues with each other. In Community Forums, students
commune with subject matter experts and other students to provide
each other with solutions to technical issues and questions that
are raised.
Community
Forums
A dynamic learning environment is achieved by offering student-to-student
communication in our Community Forums. Forums are a terrific place
to meet fellow students, post questions, share information, continue
discussions from the classroom and collaborate on solutions. Each
discussion forum has an experienced moderator and subject-matter
expert to respond to student questions and help facilitate discussions.
Currently, My SkillSource offers Community Forums for: Webmaster,
Business Community, Database, Design, Desktop Computer, Programming,
Networking.
Instructor-Led
Classes
Just as with a typical classroom setting, instructor-led classes
give students the opportunity to meet fellow classmates, ask instructors
questions, discuss learning topics and share ideas. Each instructor-led
class has specific start and end dates, and students are able to
complete the work at times that are best for them.
Each online instructor-led course is made up of between 5-10 lessons.
Each lesson includes an overview and reading assignment, a field
trip with discussion questions, exercises, and quizzes. One lesson
per week is covered so that participants have ample time to complete
their work. And all along the way, students are able to communicate
as necessary with a real instructor to check their progress and
get feedback.
